Ausdance VIC fully supports the bold statement of support for First Nations people and creatives in our state.
I’m proud to live in a state where our representatives believe in championing the development, education, support and contribution of First Nations individuals and organisations. Creative State 2025 is a bold statement of support for First Nations people and I am thrilled to see how this focus will enrich both First Nations creatives and the wider community.

We also welcome the clear acknowledgment that many creatives in Victoria have precarious working conditions and are plagued by uncertainty in relation to securing regular and reliable income. We know from listening to our members that many dancers and creatives in our state are directly, and often heavily, impacted by precarity.
We are pleased to see Creative Victoria’s commitment to supporting the Mental Health and wellbeing of artists and arts workers, particularly in our current difficult conditions created, or exacerbated by pandemic lockdowns and restrictions
We are keen to follow up the actions of this new strategy with Creative Victoria through our strong working relationship as we continue to advocate for the diverse needs of our sector.
