Get Active Kids Round 9 to open in October 2025

The Victorian Government’s Get Active Kids (GAK) program helps families access up to $200 vouchers for sport and active recreation activities – including dance. Round 9 begins in October, and there are two ways your studio can be involved.

Please note: You must have an active Ausdance VIC Organisation Membership to be eligible for either option.

Option 1: Register as an Activity Provider

As a Registered Activity Provider, your studio can:

  • Accept vouchers from families (up to $200 per child).
  • Redeem the voucher amount directly from the Victorian Government.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be an incorporated entity registered with the appropriate regulator.
  • Hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • Hold an active Ausdance VIC Organisation Membership.

Read the Program Guidelines for full eligibility details.

How it works:

  • Families apply for a voucher from GAK and give it to your studio.
  • You deliver the service (membership, classes, uniforms, etc.).
  • You redeem the voucher cost through the government portal.

The Activity Provider registration portal is now open and closes 12pm, 1 October.

Option 2: Families Apply for Reimbursement

If your studio is not eligible to be an Activity Provider (e.g. not incorporated) or prefers not to manage voucher administration, families can still benefit via the reimbursement option.

How it works:

  • Families pay fees to your studio upfront.
  • They can apply for a reimbursement of up to $200 through the Get Active Kids voucher portal when Round 9 opens.
  • A minimum spend of $50 is required.

This option still requires your studio to hold an active Ausdance VIC Organisation Membership.

Being part of the program makes dance more affordable for families and helps attract new students to your classes.

Make sure your Ausdance VIC Organisation Membership is active so you don’t miss out.
