Lift Dance Incursion

Available throughout 2025

Are you looking for a fun and engaging program for year 9-12 dance students? Funded by the Department of Education, through the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series, a LIFT Dance Incursion gives your students real-world performance experience with our expert-led dance workshops and mock auditions.

Students will be challenged and inspired at a higher level, increase their performance confidence and develop improvisation and choreographic skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your dance education offering with an industry-led dance program.

Choose Your Dance Style

Each session is led by a renowned choreographer and dance artist who expertly creates an inclusive atmosphere and educational focus.

Incursion Outline

  • 1 x 60 minute dance workshop in your chosen dance style
  • Mock auditions (simulated audition process and casting brief)
  • Performance showcase
  • Q&A with the dance artist

Lift Dance Incursion Eligibility

  • Year 9 – 12 dance students
  • Government Secondary School or Government Remote Provider

Cost

Lift Dance Incursion is FREE for eligible schools only.

Important Information
  • Each incursion runs for 2.5 hours
  • A teacher or school representative must be supervising at all times
  • Students will need to complete a registration and evaluation form
  • Students should wear comfortable clothing and dance appropriate footwear
  • A smooth, clean floor surface is required, free of any furniture or trip hazards. Dance room or school hall is most appropriate
  • Min 10 / Max 50 students per workshop. Additional workshops can be arranged for larger groups.
