Words can be fun when you mix them with dance! Start by writing down 20 verbs and 20 adverbs on a whiteboard. Select two student leaders; one to call out a verb, the other to call out an adverb. For example, look – cautiously, wave – rapidly or glide – sleepily. Everyone else performs the verb + adverb combination. Keep the game moving by calling out combinations at a reasonably fast pace. Change leaders after a few combinations.
