New Partnership to Support Dancer Health and Wellbeing

Ausdance VIC and Performance Medicine are thrilled to announce a new partnership dedicated to promoting safe dance practices, injury prevention, and dancer wellbeing.

This collaboration brings together two organisations passionate about supporting dancers at every stage of their journey – from warm-up to recovery and everything in between.

Through this partnership, Ausdance VIC members will gain exclusive access to discounts on Performance Medicine services, as well as a range of expert education resources.

“As the pioneers of Safe Dance Practice, we are committed to ensuring dancers and educators have access to the best information on injury prevention and recovery,” says Deboarh Prentice, Managing Director of Ausdance VIC. “This partnership with Performance Medicine allows us to provide even more resources to support the health, safety, and longevity of dancers.”

Performance Medicine, a leading Australian sports physiotherapy clinic, has been working with performers for over a decade, offering multidisciplinary expertise in physiotherapy, myotherapy, massage, dance medicine, and more.

“We understand the demands of dance and performing arts like no one else,” says Annie Strauch, Managing Director of Performance Medicine. “Our team is passionate about helping dancers stay strong, prevent injuries, and return safely to their art. We’re excited to partner with Ausdance VIC to share our expertise with their members.”

Together, Ausdance VIC and Performance Medicine are committed to ensuring all dancers – from students to professionals – can perform at their best while staying safe and healthy for a sustainable career.
