Child Safe Standards Webinar

A Community of Practice webinar run by The Commission for Children and Young People for organisations working with children and young people.

The CCYP has recently published a new guide to assist organisations to empower children and young people and support their participation.

When: Thursday 24 June, 2.00pm – 3.30pm

Topic: Empowerment and participation: A guide for organisations working with children and young people

Presenters: Liana Buchanan, Principal Commissioner Commission Youth Council members Kirra and Alyssa Associate Professor Tim Moore, Deputy Director at the Australian Centre for Child Protection at University of SA.

The Commission worked with the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian and the University of South Australia to develop guidance to help adults in organisations understand why empowerment and participation are important in a child safe organisation and provide practical tools to use. There will be a Q&A session with the presenters.

Places are limited. To register your interest in attending, please complete the form below. Due to the need to support as many organisations as possible from a diverse range of sectors to attend, the Commission may not be able to offer a place to all who register their interest.
