Roadmap Phase B: Settings for Dance

Thank you to all Victorian dancers for taking up the call for vaccination.

We are very pleased to share clear directions from the State Government today.

In positive news, our advocacy for clear information about who needs to be vaccinated has been heard. Stage B settings have been updated stating children under 16 years count as fully vaccinated, this allows more children to return to studios in Regional Victoria now.

People who are considered fully vaccinated

You are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the purposes of attending a venue if:

  • you have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, or
  • you have a valid medical exemption to COVID-19 vaccination issued by an authorised medical practitioner, or
  • you are aged under 16

This means: for children under 16 their vaccination status does not affect cap limits- they count as ‘fully vaccinated’

Please note: we have been advised that future settings will require 12-15year olds to be fully vaccinated. The State Government have granted this ‘amnesty period’ to allow families and young people to access both doses.
