New support for businesses

The Victorian and Federal governments jointly announced the following grants and programs to support businesses coming out of lockdown.  We are pleased to see this support acknowledging the impact of capacity restrictions.  Opening dates and full details of eligibility are yet to be released.

Business Continuity Fund

$5k grants for sectors, including dance, that are affected by capacity limits. To receive this funding, businesses must have received or be eligible for the Business Cost Assistance Program Round Two.

Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme

The reintroduced Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme provides rent relief for eligible tenants, while separate support will be provided to landlords who do the right thing by their tenants.

Available to businesses with an annual turnover of less than $50 million and have suffered a decline in turnover of at least 30 per cent due to coronavirus

Small Business COVID Hardship Fund

For small businesses who have not been eligible under existing business support funds.

Small businesses with a payroll of up to $10 million who have experienced a 70 per cent or greater reduction in revenue will be eligible for grants of up to $5,000.
