Inside Dance will help you to grow your knowledge and skills which are crucial to running a successful dance business and pioneering a sustainable dance future, navigating the wider dance environment and remaining up-to-date with latest regulations and guidelines.

Program topics have been chosen through wide sector consultation and member feedback. Our objectives are to keep you educated with the latest updates and changes, sector environmental shifts, and to give you an opportunity to ask questions of experienced professionals.

Philippa Ziegenhardt, School Counsellor & Performance Psychology teacher at The Australian Ballet School, Credentialed Eating Disorders Clinician, Counsellor for dancers at StageMinded.com.

This session will focus on how to take care of your mental health as a dancer. Philippa will discuss some of the most common issues dancers face and offer practical strategies that support wellbeing, resilience and performance.

Take your dance practice from the rehearsal room to the stage. Demystify CV’s, Bio’s, Headshots, the role of an agent, web presence, promoting yourself and promoting your work. Catching the eye of an audition panel, casting director or paying audience requires more than technique and artistry.

Safe Return to the Studio

Gabrielle Davidson, dance physiotherapist with InSync Physiotherapy and Pilates, The Australian Ballet School and Melbourne Dance Clinic.

Insights about the injuries that have become more prevalent over the last 18 months in children and young dancers, and the impact of disrupted training on the physical well- being of young dancers.  Gabby will address these and other risks with practical ideas to help prevent injury and work towards a safe return to training for dancers and dance teachers.
