Victoria’s COVID Roadmap

The State Government has announced Victoria’s roadmap to deliver the national plan out of strict COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. The four stages are indicative only and subject to change.

We are unlikely to see substantial changes for dance in Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria before November. Currently, Dance is categorised within the Sports and Recreation section of restrictions. Download the excerpt for dance here.

Ausdance VIC is working closely with government through an Industry Advisory Group, meetings with the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, Creative Victoria and Government Ministers.  We are working to understand how vaccination status will be monitored and how future restrictions will affect children and adults in dance.

To stay up to date with changes and how they affect Dance and Performing Arts, sign up for the Ausdance VIC newsletter (in the footer below); or join and become a member of your sector’s peak body and support our work and advocacy.

Following the National Strategy to re-open based on vaccination figures, we strongly encourage all eligible members of the Dance and Performing Arts community to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination. More appointments are being added all the time. As the Victorian COVID Roadmap and the National Plan indicate, vaccination is supremely important to re-opening and dancing together again.
