We are pleased to see support being made available to small businesses who have previously missed out, we hope this will contribute to easing some of the pain of this difficult lockdown which has once again knocked our sector to the ground.
The state government have confirmed that the vast majority of microbusinesses not registered for GST will be eligible for the Federal Government Covid-19 Disaster Payment of $600/$375 per seven-day period. The Victorian Government is establishing a concierge service through Business Victoria to help you access this support – we will update you on the concierge when more information is announced.
Ausdance VIC have been advocating to the state government for this support to microbusinesses since the previous lockdown and though we wish the financial assistance were greater, this is an outcome we are proud to have been a part of. We will continue to advocate for greater support for our entire sector.
- Applications for the COVID-19 Disaster Payments for Victoria open today, Friday 23 July, apply via Services Australia (Centrelink)
- A new round of Live Performance Support for Presenters and Suppliers will open in Late July/Early August- Business Costs Assistance Program recipients will receive $2,800, increasing the total grant to $4,800.
- For Businesses who received this grant in May/June the payments will be made automatically.
- If you had not applied or been ineligible for the Business Costs Assistance Program, a new round of applications will open in late July/early August via Business Victoria.
